Terms of Service
Last updated: April 3, 2026
Effective date: April 3, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the FeedLog platform operated by FeedLog (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using FeedLog, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, installing the FeedLog GitHub App, or otherwise accessing or using any part of the FeedLog service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have the legal authority to enter into these Terms, and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
If you are using FeedLog on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and the term “you” applies to that organisation.
2. Description of Service
FeedLog is a software service that helps developers and engineering teams automatically generate changelog entries from GitHub issues and pull requests using AI. The service provides:
- A GitHub App integration that monitors your selected repositories for issue and pull request activity.
- AI-assisted generation of draft changelog entries based on issue content and your custom instructions.
- An embeddable widget (React, Vue, or web component) that displays your published changelog on your own website or application.
- A dashboard for managing installations, repositories, API keys, and custom AI instructions.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Accounts and Authentication
FeedLog uses GitHub OAuth exclusively for authentication. You must have a valid GitHub account to use FeedLog. By signing in, you authorise FeedLog to access your GitHub profile information (name, email, avatar) as described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your GitHub account. Any actions taken through your FeedLog account are your responsibility. You must notify us immediately at support@feedlog.dev if you suspect unauthorised access.
During the closed beta period, access to FeedLog requires an invitation. We reserve the right to accept or decline any invitation request at our sole discretion.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, our systems, or the accounts of other users.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the FeedLog service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service, including by transmitting malware or engaging in denial-of-service attacks.
- Use the service to generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialise access to the FeedLog service without our prior written consent.
- Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the service in ways that exceed normal usage or place unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features or access controls.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you have violated these acceptable use requirements.
5. Intellectual Property
Your content
You retain full ownership of the content you bring to FeedLog, including your GitHub issue and pull request content and any custom instructions you create. By using the service, you grant FeedLog a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
FeedLog platform
The FeedLog platform, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all other materials we create, is owned by FeedLog and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of FeedLog intellectual property to you.
Feedback
If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the service, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution to you.
6. AI-Generated Content
FeedLog uses Google Gemini AI to generate draft changelog entries from your GitHub issue content. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated content is produced automatically and may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or content that does not accurately reflect your intentions.
- You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated changelog entries before publishing them. The “auto-publish” feature is provided as a convenience; you remain responsible for the final published content.
- FeedLog provides no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of AI-generated content.
- Your GitHub issue content may be sent to Google’s Gemini API for processing. By using the AI features, you consent to this transfer. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details.
7. API Keys and Widget Embedding
The FeedLog dashboard allows you to create API keys for embedding the changelog widget on your website. You agree to:
- Keep your API keys confidential and not share them publicly.
- Configure allowed domains for each API key to limit usage to your own websites. FeedLog may enforce domain restrictions as configured.
- Accept responsibility for any use of your API keys, including unauthorised use resulting from your failure to keep them secure.
- Promptly revoke and replace any API key that you believe has been compromised.
We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are being used abusively or in violation of these Terms.
8. Third-Party Services
FeedLog integrates with third-party services including GitHub, Google (Gemini AI, Fonts), PostHog, Sentry, and Cloudflare. Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services. Disabling or restricting FeedLog’s access to GitHub (e.g. by revoking the GitHub App installation) may prevent certain features from functioning.
9. Service Availability and Modifications
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee any specific level of uptime or availability. The service is provided “as available.” We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service that result in temporary unavailability.
We may change features, pricing, or access tiers at any time. Where such changes materially affect your use of a paid tier, we will provide advance notice.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FeedLog is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that any defects will be corrected.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall FeedLog, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total cumulative liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you have paid to FeedLog in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on certain warranties or liability; in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FeedLog and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
13. Termination
You may stop using FeedLog and delete your account at any time. To request account deletion, contact us at support@feedlog.dev.
We may suspend or terminate your access to FeedLog at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimer of warranties, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which FeedLog is registered, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in FeedLog’s principal place of business.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory applicable law in your country of residence.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and may notify you by email or via a notice within the service. Your continued use of FeedLog after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the service.
